Color Mixing Cupcakes – A Flipped Lesson Plan

Share this article:

Alecia Kaczmarek, who you may recognize from The Art of Education, created a vibrant, playful lesson plan on color mixing that your K-3 students will love. They’ll get to draw a cupcake, paint in the details and practice mixing primary colors to create secondary colors.

This is a flipped lesson, so be sure to check out the video. If you have a TAB classroom, you can even set this lesson up at a station and your students can guide themselves through it.

This lesson works very well for the Art to Remember fundraiser, so if you plan on incorporating into your curriculum, let us know! We’ll send you the paper and with a few extra steps, you can use the lesson to raise money for your classroom.
